Dallas Museum of Art
The Dallas Museum of Art also known as DMA is an art museum located in the Arts District of Dallas, Texas. This museum just to be located in the Fair Park, but it than move to the Arts District. The museum was established in 1903. The history of this museum started when the Dallas Art Association was established. At first they had exhibited several paintings in the public library of Dallas. The collection of the museum had grown that soon was necessary obtaining a new permanent home for the museum. The new building for the museum was designed by Edward Larrabe Barnes. This prestigious architect won the 2007 gold medal of the American Institute of Architects. The art in Dallas Museum is made up of more than 25,000 artworks, which dates from the third millennium BC to the present day. This museum is very unique on its dynamic exhibition policy and several award wining programs of education. DMA is one of the oldest museums in Dallas, Texas.
