The Museum of Modern Art also known MoMA is an art museum located in Midtown Manhattan in the city of New York. The MoMA is a very important museum in New York because it's part of the development and collection of modern art. This museum is known as the most influential gallery of modern art around the globe. This museum was established on November 7th of 1929. It was established nine days after the Wall Street crash. The idea for the development of this amazing museum was provided by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller in 1928. Abby Rockefeller was a philanthropist and a prominent socialite born on October 26th of 1874 and died April 5 of 1948. The MoMA unique collection is based on a variety of modern and contemporary art, which includes the following works: Design, architecture, painting, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, artist books, illustrated books, electronic media, film, etc. Modern art is a term associated with the art with the traditions of the past have been put aside in a spirit experimentation. This type of art includes artistic works that were produced during the period 1860s to the 1970s, which denotes the philosophy and style of art produced from that era. Contemporary art is defined as the art produced at this present time or the one that was produced during the World War II.
